FROM ZERO TO A LOCAL CALL

Quickstart.

These examples require an installed MasiDyn runtime and model weights. SDK downloads contain clients, not the runtime installer. Call the legacy local API from curl, Python, or TypeScript at http://127.0.0.1:11434.

Connect to your local runtime.

1

Get a client

Download the Python client, or choose TypeScript and CLI files on the download page. The local runtime must already be listening on port 11434. Keep port 11435 reserved for the authenticated BEAM control plane.

masidyn_client.py
curl -fsSL https://masidyn.dev/clients/masidyn_client.py -o masidyn_client.py
2

Confirm it is native-ready

/health reports liveness and whether a native backend binary is bound. /v1/models lists what is installed.

GET /health
curl http://127.0.0.1:11434/health
# Inspect the actual native_ready result before making a model call.

curl http://127.0.0.1:11434/v1/models
3

Pick a model (optional)

The CLI is a layered default-first picker. A single Enter takes all defaults and goes; drill only where you want to override.

masidyn pick
masidyn pick                    # interactive
printf '2\n\n' | masidyn pick # choice 2, then defaults

YOUR FIRST CALL

curl, Python, TypeScript.

The examples use masidyn-word:latest. Replace it with a model returned by your runtime's /v1/models. Embedding calls also require the nomic-embed-text model.

curlPOST /v1/chat/completions
curl http://127.0.0.1:11434/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "masidyn-word:latest",
    "messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Say hello from a local model."}]
  }'
pythonmasidyn_client.py
from masidyn_client import MasiDyn

md = MasiDyn()                      # defaults to http://127.0.0.1:11434
print(md.chat("masidyn-word:latest", "Say hello from a local model."))

vec = md.embed("nomic-embed-text", "sovereign intelligence")
print(len(vec), "dims")            # -> 768
typescriptmasidyn.ts
import { MasiDyn } from "./masidyn";

const md = new MasiDyn(); // defaults to http://127.0.0.1:11434
const reply = await md.chat("masidyn-word:latest", "Say hello from a local model.");
console.log(reply);
Local calls need no cloud key. These examples use your loopback runtime. Signing in to the website does not automatically authenticate a downloaded client. Hosted access requires a supported MasiDyn authentication integration. See MasiDyn access →
